Improvements to the Listing Reports
Listing reports have a number of new changes.
These include keeping class details on the one page for easier viewing
More detail printed in the various columns
Options for displaying weeks or dates.
Printing sequence in time order.

Schedule Data Entry changes
This is a major plus for VCS clients in V3.5
This provides instant access to date, semester week and calendar week.
All on the one drop-down line in the schedule data entry / update dialog.
Just makes data entry and changes faster and clearer - more certain.
The display uses the semester start week set-up in the (E)dit, Settings dialog.
Use the calendar icon to select the date - or type in e.g. 6, 25 and 1 for 2007
Default Starting Semester Week Number = 6
Default Ending Semester Week Number = 25
Default Starting Calendar Week Number = 1
These week number combinations are then displayed together during data entry for easier selection

Help Access Icons
Help access icons have been added to the desk top and the Windows start menu for VCS
Just means you have quick access to handy hints and tips and new features
Don't need to go searching for help on the VSS web page or on your hard drive.
Handy for new features that you might want to come back to for a refresher - when the pressure is off.
We'll be updating VCS all thru the year - so have a look and see what's available.

New Tool Tip
The new Tool Tip is a rectangular display of schedule details on the main screen.
It appears near your mouse pointer when the mouse hovers over an activity..
It has similar detail to the zoom boxes down below - room name, class name etc
and is right next to where you are pointing for easier reference.
Left click to see the Update activity dialog as before (with the new weeks and dates)
Try right click and see some options to update the activity under the mouse.

Easier-to-Read improvements to the main screen and menu items
We've made a number of minor changes to the main screen and menu items.
Little things our valued clients have suggested to make things clearer and a bit easier.

V3.5.2 Mid Year release
Semester week, calendar week and dates included on mouse tip when over the activities on the screen
Semester week, calendar week and dates included on the main screen "zoom" display.
Help About display now includes Version, Campus and Department names
On the main screen, the [>>] buttons next to the [Week All] button now display 1st week of semester or today

V3.5.3 2008 release
Capacity increase to well over 3000 schedules per week - to suit the largest Campuses
Microsoft security patches applied without impact on VCS programs or data
We have quite a few more suggestions to implement this year - so keep an eye on the news.
Your V3.5 licence includes any free updates this year - so you're welcome to ask.
