Latest VCS Developments
2009 V4.0 High School and US College release.
This week we've been working on the Edit, Settings details and the way data is stored.
Allowing changes to dates instead of semester week numbers makes it much easier.
The Timetable print has had a facelift too.
Next week we have some more interesting developments -
It also means we can display dates and no longer need a "Planning Year" or "Semester Duration" input.
Selections for Headings with semester week or calendar week have been replaced by a date and semester week.
Much better and easier all round.
Period names can now be shown for each class activity.
Clients can choose their own 3-char period names P0, P1 Rca, etc and assign a time start and finish.
Makes it easy to select a period when adding or amending classes - nice!
The Timetable print needed significant changes for the shorter high school and US College periods.
So we gave it a rewrite and now all the data can be included for all and any class duration.
This required months of analysis and design and complex programming - but the result is worth it.
