New Period names linked to your class start and finish times
Select Edit Settings from the VCS Main menu
Click on the "Period Settings" button to enter class period details
Enter a short "Period Name" such as P1 or P2 or Rc or Lu
Enter the period start and end time of day
Click [OK] to enter these details and reset the screen to enter the next period.
"Period Names" will be shown when using Edit Add and on reports and prints

Java updated to jre 6 for compatibility and faster processing
The VCS system uses java - the computer language of the Internet.
Upgrading to the latest java version was a big exercise.
but provided a lot of new features.....
Microsoft security patches were applied to protect VCS in your system.

VCS install automatically detects & loads 32 or 64 bit VCS systems
Microsoft has upgraded their 32 bit 'Windows' to 64 bits.
This larger 'word size' can address huge memory and massive disk drives.
All programs, including VSS, needed special upgrades to run on 64 bits.
The VSS download was changed to detect and load the correct VSS version.

Automatic Rollover from previous Semester class dates and weeks
Clients can now easily replicate their previous schedules for next Semester.
Open VSS, and select the VSS schedule file to replicate.
Select Edit, Settings from the main menu
Select Semester Start Date and select the new date using the calendar
Select Semester Ending Date and select the new date using the calendar
Select Term Break and select the start and end dates from the calendar
Click [OK] and VSS will Rollover previous event dates to the new ones.
Select File, SaveAs to create a new file for this new semester.
Add, Update, Delete and Copy events to suit your plans for this semester.
Too easy!

New Internet Timetable Print Reports and Summaries in HTML
Post your VSS Timetable prints on the Web!
Links are available to your web course details and enrolment forms!
HTML prints are now available for Classes, Rooms and Teaching staff
Posting them on your web-site, allows students and staff to get their own.
Students could view and select classes planned and proceed to enrolment.

In VSS, just select File, Print, Timetables in Lists to see the details
Then select File, Web HTML Files, to easily save a C:\VSS\your.HTML file
Ask your Web administrator to upload and provide links on your web pages.

Links to client enrolment systems from Internet Timetables.
VSS Internet Timetables have preset HTML links to pages you can personalise.
Just give your HTML page the file name in the VSS link.
Or provide a new HTML page with a quick re-direct to existing pages.
Students can then review and choose a class, click and enrol.

Import client timetable spreadsheets directly to VCS.
Importing client spreadsheets into VSS is now a whole lot easier!
VSS now looks for column headings in any order or sequence
Missing column data is noted but does not prevent upload.
Clients can use either Day and Weeks or Dates columns for classes
VSS needs 'Std' column headings to recognise the data type.
VSS needs spreadsheet files saved as common 'Tab-delimited' format.
Using VSS, try File, Export and save the output spreadsheet file
Open, change, update the spreadsheet file and then File, Import back to VSS

Existing College data files can be imported!
Just change columns headings to VSS 'std' headings
Save as 'Tab-delimited', text file.
VSS will accept a variety of day names, letters, numbers and combos
E.g. Mon, or M or 1 or 1-3 or 1,3,5 etc
Call for more information or email your file for a quick VSS file return.

Select Edit, Add and select the frequency from the drop-down.
E.g. 'Weekly', 'Bi-weekly' etc
VSS will calculate the teaching hours appropriately
Classes will show when scrolling through the weeks on screen.

'Verisign' shows Visual Cassroom Scheduler as genuine on Google searches.
VSS has been accepted by Verisign as a 'valid' software providor.
Verisign checks the VSS web-site daily for viruses protecting clients.
A 'Verisign' symbol is attached to Google search links for VSS
